Walk Up Registration Is Still Available At Each Tryout

• Fall 2024 – Spring 2025 tryouts are open to all 2014-2017 birth years
  • Birth year 2008 – 2013 team tryouts are optional and are listed here.
  • Birth year 2014 – 2016 information is listed below.
  • Birth year 2017 information is listed on this page.
  • All children interested in travel soccer MUST make at least 1 tryout.  It is recommended for children to attend both dates.
  • IMPORTANT – Online tryout registration closes Wednesday, April 3rd at midnight (registration is at the bottom of this page)

• U11 = Birthdates 1/1/2014 – 12/31/2014
• U10 = Birthdates 1/1/2015 – 12/31/2015
• U9 = Birthdates 1/1/2016 – 12/31/2016

Zoom Info Meeting

• Parent zoom meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:15pm
  • Informational session about the tryouts
  • Recommended for all children new to travel soccer and for any parents that are looking for additional information

Pinnie Pickups/Information

• If your child is already part of a 2014-2016 team your coach will be handing out your pinnies to you in advance of tryouts.  You will NOT need to attend a separate pinnie pickup.
  • Your child MUST hold onto and wear their pinnie to both tryout sessions.  After the 2nd tryout session there will be a bin for your child to place their pinnie into.
  • All pinnies MUST be returned or you will have a $15 fee added to your registration for the upcoming season.
• If your child is not currently on a 2014-2016 traveling team, and you registered for tryouts then you will need to attend pinnie pickup night
  • Sunday, April 7th at Locke 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Playing Up Rule

The clubs playing up rule is listed below.  For any further clarification or questions please reach out to your proper coordinator.

Playing Up Information

• 2017 Boys & Girls: The only birth year eligible is 2017 (no 2018 players will be allowed). 2017 players will NOT be allowed to play up one year.
• 2014-2016: All incoming 2014-2016 players in Fall 2024, are eligible to play up ONE calendar birth year age group. However, it will be required that:
  • (1) the player MUST attend at least one tryout in his/her calendar birth year age group. Failing to attend one tryout in the player’s birth year age group will result in that player being placed on the lowest rated team in their age group, as long as a roster spot is available.
  • (2) He/she may attend a second tryout for the age group that is ONE calendar birth year older. Players registering for more than one age group are doing so with the knowledge that the club will place them on their highest rated team according to their tryout results.
    • If the player rates for the “A” team in their age group, and receives a score within the club’s selection range to be on the “A” team of the age group ONE calendar birth year older, then that player will be automatically placed on the “A” team in the age group ONE year older.
    • However, if a player rates within their birth year age group on the “A” team and they DO NOT make it within the club’s selection range for the “A” team in the age group ONE calendar birth year older, then that player will be placed on their birth year’s “A” team.
      • In short if a player qualifies to be placed on a team in either their age group or the age group ONE calendar year older then the child/parents do not get to decide which team to play for after tryouts end. By trying out for the age group ONE calendar birth year older, the child/parents made that decision when registering for tryouts.
  • (3) You must note on your online registration if you intend to have your child tryout to play up one calendar year when asked during registering.

• IMPORTANT – Tryout registration closes Wednesday, April 3rd at midnight

• • The club recommends that everyone registers online by the date listed above, especially those that are already part of a travel team
• On the day of tryouts walk-up registration will be available online for a fee of $15.  You must register in person at that tryout in order to have your child participate.
  • Please make sure your contact information is accurate while filling out registration as it is the only way SWSA will reach out to you after tryout evaluations are completed.
